How current are these averages?
They're precomputed on a nightly schedule, not calculated live on every page load - so a row reflects the corpus as of the most recent nightly run, typically under a day old.
What does the small-sample flag on a row mean?
Any tag or category with fewer than 3 scored ideas behind its average gets flagged this way - at that size, a single unusual idea can swing the number a lot, so the average is still shown but marked as less statistically reliable than a row backed by dozens of ideas.
Why are these averages the same for every visitor, regardless of plan?
An average describes the market as a whole - "SaaS ideas score X on scalability on average" - not a specific idea. It exposes no details about an individual idea a restricted-tier visitor couldn't otherwise see, so unlike the other Business Genome tools, this page isn't scoped per viewer.
What's the difference between a tag and a category here?
Categories are broader groupings (e.g. "SaaS"), while tags are narrower, more specific labels an idea can carry several of at once. Both are averaged and browsable the same way - filter by dimension type to see just one or the other.
